Karol McIntosh joined FCFA in February 2026 and has since taken on the role of Volunteer Coordinator, where she focuses on expanding and strengthening volunteer engagement to better serve the community.

Karol began her professional career in actuarial science after graduating from university. She later chose to dedicate 15 years to raising her four children, a season during which she remained deeply engaged in her community. Karol served in leadership roles within PTA, church, and various community organizations, modeling a strong commitment to service and instilling in her children the importance of giving back.

As her family relocated several times in support of her husband’s career, Karol quickly became involved in service initiatives in each new community, building connections and strengthening local organizations. While living in Tampa, she taught college mathematics and served as Director of the Community Food Pantry, where she combined her organizational skills with her passion for food security and community outreach.

After retiring, Karol moved to Ellicott City to be closer to her grandchildren. Now in Maryland, she continues her lifelong dedication to service.
