Hospital Corpsman Loran Grant is a developing and motivated healthcare professional in the United States Navy. She has several years of experience in private and military healthcare settings as a medic and nationally accredited electroencephalogram (EEG) technologist.

Her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and Pre-Medical sciences solidified her desire to pursue military healthcare and preventive medicine. She is passionate about the evolving and critical role of public health in medical education.

Loran previously worked at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland where she served as the work center supervisor for the Department of Neurology, leading a team of eight Army Medics and Navy Sailors. She was also an EEG and Autonomic Nervous System Testing technologist, a Basic Life Support Instructor, and a fitness leader for the command. Loran served as a collaborator on two IRB-approved research studies that were conducted at Walter Reed.  

She is currently a medical student at the F. Edward Hebert School of Medicine, Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.    

Loran has been volunteering with FCFA since 2021. She became a board member in March 2022, and has since then deligently served as the Director of Community Engagement.
